The ski season is here!

After some good snowfalls at the start of the month, ski resorts all over the Rockies and the Alps are opening for the 2014-15 season, some much earlier than planned.
While parts of Europe struggle after a warm week, North America goes from strength to strength with Vail opening up its back bowls this weekend. If you want to keep track of the snow conditions before your trip, we have started up our regular snow reports, thanks to snow experts Weather to Ski.

The Where to Ski and Snowboard team have dusted off their boots and hit the snow, too. I was out in Val Thorens for last weekend's opening of the season, while Editor Gill will be hitting the slopes of Val d'Isère next weekend — check out our blogs here.
