AUSTRIA - Closure of the vorarlberg tunnel

After 35 years, the Arlberg tunnel will be renewed. For this purpose, two periods of full closure are planned in 2015 and 2017, in addition to periods of alternating closure during the night

To improve the safety of the tunnel, other works are envisaged including widening routes of escape and emergency between road and rail tunnels. All work will be carried out simultaneously.

From April 18, 2017 until September 26, 2017


During the closure, it will be possible to use alternative roads such as the Arlberg Pass or deviate in the direction of Switzerland, Monaco and the Fern Pass
